I can definately see where you're coming from, but religion (or gay) is the topic of the channel, the reason that there are few "pro-religion" is that the community is very little pro-religion. With the winds blowing the way they do around here, I doubt a pro-religion video could get sifted without getting a lies attached too. Sorry, but that's really they way most of us are, as far as I can see.
Perhaps the gay channel need to be renamed, if people can't be bothered to use it properly? I think the problem also lies in a lack of explanation of the channels in the submit page, and actually also on the channel overview. We have to open any given channel to see its definition, which most people can't be bothered to do.
That is exactly right. And on THAT subject, I really wish people would use the * lies channel more objectively. People here assign it to everything they don't agree with. That is a self-destructive way of doing things for any website and MUST stop. Whom ever manages the "lies" channel should get on the game and get the subjective "lies" removed. If this site wants to increase its readership, it must stop with the subjective bullshit.

Doc_M, I don't think I really have to explain this, but as long as there's no Anti-Religion channel, everything that _concerns_ religion goes in the current channel. It's not the community's fault that most have a strong dislike towards any kind of religion, it's rather the religion advocates' fault they can't find (or produce to begin with) decent pro-religion material to Sift. I know I have upvoted videos where religious scientists expressed themselves, so it's not like all the Atheists on the Sift instantly downvote anything that's even remotely pro-religion.
And by the way, these two (from the 1st Sifted page of the Religion channel):

are pro-religion (popularizing, etc.) more than anything else. You should have at least checked before making that bold claim there are no pro-religion sifts at all. Or is only proselytization pro-religion in your book?
Perhaps my recent disappointment with the choice of videos on that channel led to my exaggeration. I guess I should have said "it has been a really long time since there has been a video supporting religion that has gotten through the sift."

Even Obama says he is disgusted by people's use of her daughter's pregnancy as a political statement.
Also, the story of Trig is laid to rest. The baby is her's. There was never any doubt. All the media has recognized this and many have reported it. The story is over. If you want to debate the ethics of having children at her age however, knock yourselves out, but recognize that millions do it so you may just be judging your friends/neighbors/relatives at the same time.
